Armenian tongue twisters are a great way to improve your child’s pronunciation, articulation, and fluency of words. If practiced every day, your child will learn to communicate precisely by overcoming pronunciation barriers and stammering.

Կանաչ կակաչ,

The difficulty in this tongue twister is in using the ah and eh sound interchangeably. Practice this with your child to see how fast they can say it without stammering. It will drastically improve their pronunciation and allow their tongue to become familiar with some of the difficult Armenian sounds not found in the English language.

Here’s another one.

Սիրուն կատուն սուս անի,

Նստի ուսին Սուսանի։

Siroon katoon soos ani,

Nsti oosin Susani.

The pretty cat is quiet,

Sitting on Susan’s shoulder.

This tongue twister is tricky because of the S and oo sounds.
