Scholarships
As you all know, our company mission is to give back to Armenia and Artsakh. Our company aim is to strengthen and support Armenia’s educational system through various projects throughout the year using tuition payments made by parents like you!
For our summer initiative this year we partnered with Armenian Education Foundation and Miaseen.Org to provide scholarships. We provided tuition support to 10 very deserving young men. These 10 heroes fought in the Artsakh war and are now completing their final year of university in various fields of study. It was important to support these 10 men in particular because they’re disabilities from the war were non-physical, hence preventing them fully obtaining aid through various organizations. This is where our team jumped in to fill the gap!
Physics & Chemistry Lab
Recently, I attended the Promise Forum hosted by UCLA Promise Institute and Teach for Armenia. I met a Teach for Armenia student from Ijevan, Armenia, Tigran Aghbalyan. I had the pleasure of hearing his opinions and thoughts on the needs of students in Armenia. His school has been converted to a Seroond School by Teach for Armenia and the results showed in Tigran. I was surprised to learn that his high school did not have chemistry or physics lab equipment. This surprised me because they learned through READING about experiments instead of CONDUCTING them. I was also so impressed to learn that he had taken the initiative himself to put together a plan and proposal for local government to fund the lab. Recently, I learned that Tigran has obtained his funding for the lab equipment. All that is now needed is a bit of construction to turn an unused classroom into a laboratory, which the local government could not fund. This is where our team jumped in to fill the gap!
